Fabulous Evening of Music by the Lakes

Music by the Lakes returned this evening for its thirteenth year at Thorney Lakes Caravan and Camping Park. The audience were treated to some fantastic music from the Kingsbury Band, their four piece saxophone group 'Take 4' and the Somer Singers

The evening was a resounding success and the rained stayed away until after the event which was just brilliant. The fundraising team ran a raffle as they have done for many years which was well received, they also trialled providing refreshments this year which went down a storm. Tea, coffee, cake, chocolates and cream teas were on offer as well as hot chocolate (cream and marshmallows) for when it turned colder!

During the evening's programme there was time for our Chairman, Gavin Roberts, to present a cheque to mother and daughter duo Anne and Sally England who run Thorney Lakes and David White of Kingsbury Band who have been instrumental (sadly pun intended!) in the organisation of the event. The 2017 event raised £1034.83.

The chairman even won a lovely tea cosy that one of our supporters (Keith Fishlock) felt would be better used as a hat!!
